Ch. 10 Questions

Chapter 10

1. Why does Peeta reveal his love for Katniss? Do you think he really loves her? Why or why not?
Peeta reveals his love for Katniss so he can make a facade to Katniss, but actually present his undying love for her though she may only think it's a plan. Also i think he said that so they can get alot of Sponsers and get necesities once in the arena. I think that Peeta really does love Katniss because he always compliments her and genuanly wants to be with her.  Also, because on the interview he said things that he possibly meant truth behind.

2. What is Peeta’s main concern during the hunger games?
Peeta's main concern during the Hunger Games is that he thinks it might change him and make him into just another piece of the Games. He doesn't want to be changed into some kind of monster that the Gamemakers control. Even if he does die he wants to die as with honor as himself. He wants to show the Gamemakers that he is not going to be in the Games as anyone or anything, but himself.

3. How does the Capitol view the previous arenas of the hunger games? How many games have there been?
The Capitol views the previous arenas of the Hunger Games as historical sites. They never use the  arenas they have used before. The arenas get very populated with tourists because alot of people visit them all. People that live in the Capitol can stay in the arenas and tour, they can even be in reenactments that are there and they act as the people in the Games that year. There have been 74 games including Katniss'.

4. What do you feel is the purpose of the hunger games?
I think that the purpose of the Hunger Games is to show everyone from all the Districts that the Capitol-more towards the government- that they have enough guts and power to execute you from existence just like that whenever and wherever they feel like it. This is because of the Rebellions that they had 74 years ago hence it started the Hunger Games.

Tribute Trials Test

My results were............

I took the test twice and on my first try I had gotten 86 percentile. On the contrary on my second try I had gotten 94 percentile. What I figured out was that you need to get varied types of skills to win The Hunger Games.

Ch. 9 Questions

 Chapter 9

This is Katniss in her dress

1. Describe Katnis's interview attire and training? What affect do you think it had on the audience?
Katnis's interview attire was a dress covered with many colored jewels on it. Her skin was gold and she even has stenciled patterns on both her arms. She had gotten her nails done by the stylist crew. What they did was that they had made designs to resemble fire on each of her fingers. During her training, she had a very difficult time though. She and Haymitch couldn't decide how she would act, because he kept criticizing her and she would get pissed off at him. She didn't really get along with Haymitch, and I think that is because they are so much like eachother as in attitude. Her affect on the audience was really well. She did very well because she was as honest as she coul be and every time that she would not be able to come out with something truthfull she would look straight at Cinna and pretend as if it were only he and she having a normall conversation and that it was not being projected to all the Districts including the Capitol.

This is Cinna

 2. How does Haymitch and Cinna ask Katniss to behave?
Haymitch and Cinna both ask Katniss to be her self like if she were having a normal conversation. Haymitch of course was being mest up towards her and said that he didn't like how Katniss acted towards him. She starts to get nervous because she still doesn't know how she should act to impress the audience and that she might screw up and won't get any sponsors and no sponsers means no gift or necesities in the arena. Cinna tells her that when she going to answer a question to look at him so she can act like herself as if they were having a casual conversation on a casual day.

Peeta Loves Katniss!<3

3. What do we discover about Peeta during his interview?
We discover during Peeta's interview that he is in love with Katniss. He confessed this when the host asked Peeta if he has a girlfriend and he said no. He asks Peeta if he like someone and he says yes. The host tells him that he has to win The Hunger Games so she will have to say yes. Peeta tells him that he thinks that won't work out because he would have to kill her to win.

Ch. 1 Questions

Chapter1

1) Describe District 12.

District 12 is also called "The Seam". It would usually be crawling with coal miners going to work. The coal miners are described as being with hunched shoulders, swollen knuckles, broken nails with coal dust in their finger nails, and with the lines of their sunken faces. The streets contain squat grey houses with closed shutters. Katniss's house is almost at the edge of Seam wich you have to pass a few gates to reach the scruffy field in which the people of Seam call "The Meadow". The Meadow is separated from the woods by a high chain-link fence topped with barbed-wire loops which encloses all of District 12. The fence is supposed to be electrified 24 hours a day to prevent the predators that live in the woods like packs of wild dogs, lone cougars, and bears that used to threaten their streets. Their district is usually lucky to get 2 or 3 hoours of electricity so it isn't very protective. In the woods there are animals such as venemous snakes, rabid animals, and no actual paths to follow.
